Louis Hakim joined Philips in 1998 and is currently the chairman of Philips Middle East and vice president of Royal Philips Electronics. Executive recently sat down with him for a candid chat about environmental issues facing the United Arab Emirates today. Philips has worked with private and public institutions across the globe to help them go green and in 2010 launched its ‘livable cities’ campaign. E  A recent report revealed that the United Arab Emirates has the largest environmental footprint in the world. How can the country be more environmentally conscious? The UAE is taking positive steps to reduce its carbon footprint; you see it in several of their activities.
