Richard J. Roth

Richard J. Roth is an associate professor emeritus at Medill, Northwestern University, with a distinguished career in journalism education. He served as senior associate dean at both Medill’s Evanston campus and Northwestern’s Doha campus, where he launched the journalism degree program. Before entering academia, Roth was a seasoned newspaperman, serving as editor-in-chief of the Tribune-Star in Terre Haute, Indiana, and a reporter for the Buffalo Courier-Express. He has also been actively involved in international journalism, serving on various boards and making presentations worldwide.
