Samer Muscati
Samer is an Associate Director at Human Rights Watch’s Disability Rights Division, with a background as director and clinical lecturer at the University of Toronto’s International Human Rights Program. A lawyer and former journalist, Samer has vast experience in documenting rights abuses during crises, including armed conflict and civilian displacement. He holds degrees in environmental studies, law, and international human rights law, with previous roles in the Middle East and North Africa division and as an adviser to the Iraqi government.
