Sean Lee is an assistant professor of political science at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and holds a PhD in political science from Northwestern University. He was previously a doctoral fellow at the Orient Institut-Beirut and a research affiliate at the Center for Arab and Middle East Studies at the American University of Beirut. His research focuses on ethnic and sectarian minority communities during civil wars in the Middle East and Central Africa. His work has been funded by Fulbright-Hays, Northwestern University, and the Project on Middle East Political Science.
