Stephen Schurr is a short-only portfolio manager at Steve Cohen’s Point72 Asset Management and has been a short-seller since 2006. After graduating from Princeton University in 1993 with a BA in English literature and American Studies, he worked as a financial journalist for 12 years at The Wall Street Journal, TheStreet.com and The Financial Times. He joined Jim Chanos’ short-only Kynikos Associates in 2006, and worked as a short specialist at hedge funds Harrier Hawk and Brahman Capital before joining Point72 in 2018.
